Minelab Excalibur II

Minelab Excalibur II overview

Excalibur II relies on BBS (Broad Band Spectrum), sending 17 frequencies at once between 1.5 and 25.5 kHz. Ground rejection is automatic, Iron Mask counters iron masking, and RCB amplifies faint signals picked up inside the coil. A rotary knob sets discrimination, with an All-Metal pinpoint mode too. Sound is analogue multi-tone through integrated Koss headphones. Listed depth is 4 feet.

Water is what sets it apart: the unit can be submerged to 60 metres, opening river pools, lake edges and flooded ground that stop most detectors. In KPK that means Kabul river banks or mountain stream shallows, plus dry fields near old Gandhara sites. People weighing the Minelab Excalibur II price in Peshawar receive a 10-inch Slimline coil, dive-ready headphones, a rechargeable NiMH pack with its mains charger, plus a short dive shaft and a manual. Weight is 2.36 kg with batteries. Made in Australia, with a 3-year warranty.
